abrdn New India (ticker: ANII) was launched in 1994. It was originally a Latin American trust before switching to an Indian equity mandate in December 2004, when Aberdeen took over the management of the company from Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. Its portfolio is fairly concentrated, consisting of around 40 stocks, and employs a long-term, quality investing style. ANII has largely matched its benchmark over the last twenty years, with an annualised NAV return of 12%.
