UPDATE (Oct 2026): AAS was renamed Aberdeen Asia Focus in October 2025, following Aberdeen's rebranding exercise, and is now a member of the FTSE 250 index. It returned +24.0% versus 15.0% in the year to July 2025, and +22.3% versus +9.5% to July 2026, the latter helped by its tilt towards technology stocks. The trust beat its benchmark in the five years to July 2026, by +67.6% to +37.8%, so it did not hold its 25% conditional tender offer. A new conditional tender offer on similar terms has been put in place for the five years ending July 2031.
